The purpose of the system is to allow parents to log in through the Internet in order to view their child’s activities
throughout the day as activities are entered by caregivers.


Security

Because the system is displaying information about children, we have gone to extraordinary care in order to
ensure that the system is safe and secure.  As data about each child is keypunched into the system by the
teachers, it is stored securely on our internal server.  Certain portions of this data are then uploaded to another
secure server off-site which also holds the internet login information.  This server has it’s own built-in security
and has been overlaid with additional security logins.  The information transmitted to this server only contains
that which is essential for operation of the system.  No other personal data of the parent or child is transmitted
whereby someone could compromise the system or gain access to any personal information.


Testing the System

If you would like to test out the system in order to see how it works, please follow these directions:

1.        Log in to www.DiscoverylandInfantRoom.com
2.        Read the opening DIMPL page.  That way you will know that you are connected.
3.        Press Login and you will be moved to the Legal Page.
4.        If you agree to the terms contained on the Legal Notice, then press “I Agree”.
5.        You will then be taken to the Login page.  On this page enter “Infant” (without the quotes) as Username and
enter “baby” (again without the quotes – this password is case sensitive.  Use all lowercase)

You should then be directed to where you can see a sample page giving you some idea of how the layout works
and what you can expect to see with your own child.
