| Discoveryland - Calendar 2011 - 2012 |
Here is our new 2011 - 2012 School Calendar. We have two sign-up days this year.
The reason we call them "Sign-Up" Days is because we have found over the years that there are certain days which some
families celebrate as holidays and some do not. Some parents take their children out of school for the day, while some
other parents are required to be at work and thus need child care. We attempt to remedy this problem by designating
these days as "Sign-Up Days" and letting you, the parent, have the option of bringing your child to school or not. On these
days we will not be planning regular curriculum, so those children that are absent will not have to worry about catching up.
The day will generally be spent with games, and fun filled activities.
We will remind you as these days approach and ask you to "Sign-Up" if you are planning to come to school. We then will
be able to have the right number of teachers on hand.
